Ernest Roland Wilberforce DD, DCL3 was born on 22 January 1840 in Brightstone.3 He died on 9 September 1907 at the age of 67 in Bembridge, IoW.3 Bishop of Chichester; Curate of Cuddesdon, Oxfordshire, 1864-66, Vicar of Middleton Stoney, Oxfordshire, 1866-69, Sub-Almoner to H.M.Queen Victoria 1871-82, Vicar of Seaforth Liverpool, 1873-78, Canon Res. of Winchester 1878-82, first Bishop of Newcastle 1882-95, Bishop of Chichester, 1895-1907; born 22nd January, 1840, educated Harrow and Exeter College, Oxford, (B.A. 1864, M.A. 1867, D.D. 1882), married firstly, 23rd June, 1863, Frances Mary (d.s.p. 21st October, 1870), youngest daughter of Sir Charles Henry John Anderson, 9th Bt., M.A., of Broughton, Lincs, K.L., (see Burke's Peerage, 1939 edition). He married secondly, 14th October, 1874, Emily Maud (died 17th July, 1941), only daughter of Very Rev. George Henry Connor, D.D., Dean of Windsor, and died 9th September, 1907. - BLG

Rt Rev. Ernest Roland Wilberforce DD, DCL and Emily Henrietta Maud Connor were married on 14 October 1874 in Newport, IoW. Emily Henrietta Maud Connor3 died on 17 July 1941.
